Discover rock climbing in the Jura Mountains on the Terre-Ronde cliff on the Hauteville Plateau. A cliff at an altitude of 1,000 meters in the forest of Bugey. An instructor will introduce you to climbing on this natural site with friends or family, for ages 6 and up.
The starting point for the climb is the rock, and Eric invites you to discover climbing in a natural environment on the limestone rock of Bugey. No worries, all equipment is provided!

Meet directly at the cliff or at the Tenay/Hauteville train station, accessible by train from Lyon (45 minutes by train).
The climbing sites are as follows:

The typical program for a 3-hour session is as follows:
* Approach walk to the cliff: 10 minutes
* Introduction to equipment and safety techniques adapted to rock climbing
* Learning how to progress on natural holds, stress management, and climbing on the route
* Routes on various slabs, overhangs, or overhangs
> OTHER ACTIVITIES
The activity takes place near the Hauteville plateau, where you can enjoy many other activities in the summer: hiking or mountain biking, swimming, downhill mountain biking, treetop adventures, via ferrata, canyoning, etc.
> AUDIENCE: Everyone can discover rock climbing in a natural environment, even those who have never practiced it before: individuals, groups, families with children over 4 years old.
> GROUP: An instructor can lead a group of up to 10 adults or 8 minors accompanied by an adult.

Lhuis, Crept-Seillonaz, Contrevoz/Essieu, Virieu le Grand, Parves, 1 hour from Lyon

Les Guides du Bugey is a team of independent climbing instructors and canyoning guides based in Bugey, in the southern Jura Mountains. Bugey is a mountainous region located in the Ain department, near Bourg-en-Bresse, Lyon, Chambéry, and Geneva.
Les Guides du Bugey will safely introduce you to the world of cliffs, canyons, and mountains in the most beautiful natural sites of Ain, Jura, and Savoie.

Please note: Group excursions are only organized for groups of 6 or more registered participants.
PRIVATE instructor hire for a group:
* 3-hour package - 2 people: €180 + €20/additional person
* 3-hour package - group of 8 people: €300
* Full-day package (5 hours) for groups of up to 8 people: €400
Climbing shoe rental: €5/session

Pick-up is available 30 minutes before departure at the Tenay/Hauteville train station: inquire when booking.
Available times:
* Morning: 9 a.m.
* Afternoon: 1 p.m. or 5 p.m.
Reservations required 24 hours in advance. A GROUP session is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.

100% local: thanks to our local presence in Bugey, close to our practice sites, we reduce our travel to a minimum. We use sustainable and environmentally friendly equipment, manufactured in France or Europe. We work with partners located in the areas we visit: restaurants, bars, and accommodations.nWe will suggest taking public transportation to the meeting points (when possible!) or carpooling for outdoor outings.
