The detailed program

The suspended aperitifs offer breathtaking views of Lake Nantua from the impressive face of the Grande Roche, an activity for everyone in Bugey, south of the Jura Mountains.

PROGRAM

We meet around 5 p.m. on the shores of Lake Nantua. We can use a vehicle to reach the starting point of the hike to access the suspended aperitif location; the drive time is 10 minutes maximum. From the start, we embark on a beautiful 35-minute hike along a gently sloping trail that leads to the summit of the Grande Roche. After assembling the portaledge and donning your safety equipment, harness, and helmet, you will spend the evening in the air, on the side of the wall, 300 meters above Lake Nantua, on the portaledge installed on the wall. Throughout the activity, you will be supervised by an instructor and secured by a climbing rope: no danger!

After a light aperitif, you'll witness a beautiful sunset over the Bugey Mountains. For those who wish, a short rappel will take us back. We return to the parking lot and then to Lake Nantua in 45 minutes.

The exact meeting place and time depend on the options chosen, the season, and the weather: these will be specified upon registration.

Total duration of the activity without the climbing option: 4 hours

TECHNICAL LEVEL

This activity does not require climbing experience but does require a fear of heights.

GROUP

A group can consist of a maximum of 4 participants per instructor. Depending on the weight of the participants, you may be all or individually on the portaledge. The optimal number of people on a portaledge is 2.

BONUS:

Before reaching the portaledge location, you can optionally go rock climbing with a view of Lake Nantua. Information upon registration.

Environment, public transport and carpooling

One of our goals is to make the right decisions to protect natural sites and limit our impact on ecosystems and the environment.

100% local: thanks to our local presence in Bugey, close to our practice sites, we reduce our travel to a minimum. We use sustainable and environmentally friendly equipment, manufactured in France or Europe. We work with partners located in the areas we visit: restaurants, bars, and accommodations.nWe will suggest taking public transportation to the meeting points (when possible!) or carpooling for outdoor outings.

Protecting the planet: it's natural!

Photos and Videos

Photography and imagery are part of our DNA. Take advantage of our video and photo equipment to take your adventure memories home with you!

After each outing, we'll send you photos and videos of the outing, free of charge and with a smile!
