The Bugey Guides Association is a group of mountaineering, climbing, canyoning, and caving professionals. The guides and instructors offer outdoor activities that you can enjoy with professionals in the Jura Mountains, around the beautiful Albarine Valley, on the Hauteville Plateau, in Nantua and Oyonnax: hiking, mountain biking, climbing, via ferrata, canyoning, caving, fishing, and nature observation.
Come to Bugey and the Albarine Valley for mountain hiking, climbing, canyoning, or via ferrata near Lyon and Geneva. These activities are supervised by professional guides and instructors passionate about outdoor sports based in the Jura Mountains, Ain, and Bugey.
From June to September, our shop welcomes you in the center of Tenay in the Albarine Valley at the foot of the Guinguette via ferrata, the numerous natural climbing sites of the Roche de Narse and the Cluse des Hôpitaux, the rivers and canyons of the Albarine: the Gorge stream and the Charabotte waterfalls in Chaley. It's our playground, so to speak!
During the summer, Eric takes you everywhere in the high mountains, climbing, and canyoning. Lucas supervises canyoning, climbing, and via ferrata activities. Clément strengthens the team for climbing and via ferrata activities. Jean-Christophe guides you in canyoning and caving. In 2025, we welcome Matéo, who is completing his practical training in climbing and via ferrata.
