The detailed program

Discover the Albarine River and the Charabotte waterfalls along the water for a wild hike in the heart of the Jura Mountains. This hike will take you from the village of Chaley to the foot of the imposing 150-meter waterfall.

Guided by a mountain guide who is intimately familiar with the Albarine River, its flora and fauna, and who can share a wealth of information throughout the hike.

Once you arrive near the large Charabotte waterfall, if conditions permit, you can approach the waterfall by climbing the first ledge and access one of the Albarine springs at the foot of the waterfall (equipment: harness and helmet provided).

Hiking time: 3 hours round trip from Chaley.

Equipment required: Some sections of this hike can be slippery and fraught with roots and rocks, so good footwear is required.

Level: Beginner to advanced hiker.

Environment, public transport and carpooling

One of our goals is to make the right decisions to protect natural sites and limit our impact on ecosystems and the environment.

100% local: thanks to our local presence in Bugey, close to our practice sites, we reduce our travel to a minimum. We use sustainable and environmentally friendly equipment, manufactured in France or Europe. We work with partners located in the areas we visit: restaurants, bars, and accommodations.nWe will suggest taking public transportation to the meeting points (when possible!) or carpooling for outdoor outings.

Protecting the planet: it's natural!

Photos and Videos

Photography and imagery are part of our DNA. Take advantage of our video and photo equipment to take your adventure memories home with you!

After each outing, we'll send you photos and videos of the outing, free of charge and with a smile!
