The detailed program

Discover family canyoning in Bugey with young children in the Albarine Valley in Ain. The Chaley Canyon is ideal in the summer months of July and August for children aged 7 to 11 and their parents in a prime natural setting in Bugey and the Ain department. Special attention is paid to the environment throughout the course. Children will discover the canyon's iconic species: the salamander.

> WHO IS IT FOR?

The Chaley Gorge Canyon is suitable for families with children aged 7 and over in the height of summer. Depending on their size and water ability, a younger child can complete the course. We sometimes welcome children as young as 6.

For families with children over 12, you can choose the standard "Canyoning in Chaley" package.

KNOWING HOW TO SWIM IS REQUIRED.

> ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Canyoning is accessed by a 20-minute walk. After a briefing and equipment appointment, the canyon descent lasts approximately 1.5 hours.

We adapt the canyoning course for younger children with low jumps, slides, cave visits, and a short rappel that can be transformed into a giant zip line for kids. Teens and adults can enjoy the canyon's usual obstacles: slides and jumps up to 7 meters high.

Throughout the canyon, we can observe salamanders in the canyon's many pools.

The return walk is 5 minutes.

> ACTIVITY ROUTE and LOCATION

The meeting point for the activity is the Chaley campsite in the Ain department, 1 hour from Lyon, Geneva, and Bourg-en-Bresse.

> High-quality PROFESSIONAL SUPERVISION

As a guarantee of safety, the group is supervised by a professional instructor with a DEJEPS Canyoning diploma or equivalent. The instructors are extremely familiar with the canyon.

> EQUIPMENT and HYGIENE

The instructor provides all the equipment necessary for the activity. The equipment is checked on each outing and complies with current PPE standards. Neoprene wetsuits are provided. They are of very high quality (one or two pieces, 5 mm thick) and offer optimal protection against the cold. They are washed with a biodegradable antibacterial product based on essential oils after each outing. Neoprene booties are provided to insert into the shoes.

Environment, public transport and carpooling

One of our goals is to make the right decisions to protect natural sites and limit our impact on ecosystems and the environment.

100% local: thanks to our local presence in Bugey, close to our practice sites, we reduce our travel to a minimum. We use sustainable and environmentally friendly equipment, manufactured in France or Europe. We work with partners located in the areas we visit: restaurants, bars, and accommodations.nWe will suggest taking public transportation to the meeting points (when possible!) or carpooling for outdoor outings.

Protecting the planet: it's natural!

Photography and imagery are part of our DNA. Take advantage of our video and photo equipment to take your adventure memories home with you!

After each outing, we'll send you photos and videos of the outing, free of charge and with a smile!
